Who
is Green Lawns?
Green Lawns aerates lawns, and is an
Authorized Moisture Manager Applicator. That’s
all we do. In fact, we probably have aerated more
lawns in the San Francisco Bay Area than anyone else. Green
Lawns has been around since 1977.

Green Lawns is unique and
unlike any other
business in America for a number of reasons:
Unlike some businesses, we rush to answer your call. When you call,
you’ll most likely be connected with the owner immediately. If your
lawns need something other than aerating or Moisture Manager
treatments, we’ll be the first to tell
you, and then we’ll try to help you with your lawn, even though you’re
not a customer. Hopefully, our expert advice and help will result in
you becoming our customer in the future.
After
doing aerating for over forty years, we have more experience
than anyone else - and we’re super reliable. We show up on the date
we said we'd come. Our contractors are reliable and conscientious. We
expect a lot
from them, and so should you.
Our contractors locate and flag your
sprinklers and test them after aerating. We secure your gates, and we
are very dog friendly.
Other companies charge a lot to feed your lawns but at Green Lawns,
you only pay for the fertilizer - the application is free. We are a “green” company. That means
we don’t use harmful chemicals. That way, our workers are safe, as are our
customers and their pets. You can rely on us to do the right thing.
We won’t ask you to pay until you’ve checked out the job, and if at any
time you think you didn’t get your money’s worth, we’ll either rip up
the bill, refund your money, or redo the job – your choice. Nobody
offers such a bulletproof guarantee. We will only accept a win-win
deal with our customers; you cannot lose.
Besides aerating, we help people with other aspects of their lawns by
providing free 800 number support, where anyone, (even if they’re not a
customer) can call and talk to an expert about their lawn. So if you
have weeds, brown spots, or strange grasses coming up in your lawn, you
can count on Green Lawn's free expert advice to help you solve your
particular lawn problem.
Rather than a top-down structure, with one person at the top earning
most of the profit and a bunch of workers at the bottom earning minimum
wage, we value the worker above all. In our philosophy, the worker is
the most important person and must be paid well if he is expected to be
reliable and have pride and joy in what he does.
We believe that when
you pay as little as possible, you always get less than what you paid
for. Green Lawns pays its contractors up to 75% of the profit,
while the rest of the industry pays as little as 13%. Paying what it’s
worth brings out the best in people.
